After graduating high school in 2006, Stephanie attended the University of Minnesota. There she studied Communication Studies with an emphasis on marriage and family communication. While at the U of M, she was involved in numerous groups on campus, including Cru and Cru High School.
Within weeks of her college graduation in December 2009, Stephanie married her high school sweetheart, Joe, and moved to Owatonna, MN.
Throughout their first few years in Owatonna, Stephanie worked as a Customer Advocate for Gopher Sport. From there, she spent a year and a half as the General Business Skills Administrative Coordinator at Federated Insurance. During that time, Stephanie and Joe were heavily involved in their church’s youth group.
Stephanie was born into a family involved in FCA, so ever since she could walk, she has been involved with FCA. God made it crystal clearto her in 2012 that it was time to join the Minnesota FCA staff. She decided to give up life in the corporate world and move onto part-time ministry. Since that time, she has worked with the Owatonna Area FCA Huddles, multiple FCA camps, and has recently started Bold + Beautiful.
“God has used this ministry in my life and blessed me with a testimony that is uniquely mine. I am so excited and passionate about Bold +Beautiful. It provides an opportunity for young women to gather and discover who they are in Jesus Christ and that it looks like in all parts of life to live out that faith. We are also able to cover topics that are unique to young women without the distraction of boys! I know that I could have used that when I was in Jr. and Sr. High school.”
Stephanie and her husband, Joe, have one son, Miles.
