All of the bouncing and dribbling in Waseca these days isn't necessarily to try and put the basketball in the hoop.

For the last four years, John Conway has been a coach for the HeavenWord Handlers.  The group is a ministry of the Waseca Fellowship of Christian Athletes, but their focus on the court is dribbling, spinning, and juggling to entertain the fans.

Conway has his largest group ever with 15 members this year, and around 30 others that want to join in the future.
All of the Handlers are junior high or younger, and take their shows seriously.

Many of the members say they practice daily so they can maintain their skills and add new tricks as they perform once a week or more.  The members say it is fun to be a part of the show, but it might be even more rewarding to hear the reaction from their crowds.

The HeavenWord Handlers have halftime shows at college games in the near future including the NSIC Tournament Final Four in March over in Rochester.

Bring the Handlers to your school, church, camp, VBS, basketball clinic, or FCA event! We strive to be flexible to meet your specific purpose, age group and time frame. Here are ways you can utilize the HeavenWORD Handlers at your event:

1)    6-minute halftime performance (click on logo to see 2-minute sample video)…for college, high school or Jr. Varsity basketball games. No speaking…just music playing (portions of three songs from Audio Adrenaline, Steven Curtis Chapman & The Newsboys).
2)    4-minute illustration presenting our solar system of spinning planets and the good news about God visiting OUR planet in the person of Jesus Christ where He died and rose again according to the Scriptures!
3)    Gospel presentation using FCA’s “More than Winning” booklet…we will include a call to respond (invitation) if you would like us to lead in this way.
4)    Challenge to Christians: After performance to bring a biblical challenge to followers of Christ to develop and use their God-given talents and abilities for serving King Jesus…thru sport, music, art, technology, drama or “WHATEVER you do…” as taught in Colossians 3:17, 23.
5)    Teach dribbling, juggling, passing, and spinning at your basketball camp or clinic.
6)    Testimonies from young Handlers regarding saving faith, growing faith or sharing their faith!!!
7)    Combination of options listed above…
