The Rochester Area FCA Youth Flag Football League is for boys and girls, in grades 1-6 (Fall 2013) who want to develop their football skills, grow as an athlete through teamwork, and build their personal character.  Athletes will have a team practice session to work on their football skills each night before playing against other teams in their age group.  At each session, there will be a speaker focusing on a specific character theme: 

Heart of a Champion, Sportsmanship, Being a Good Teammate, Self-Discipline, Overcoming Adversity, Being an "Uncommon" Athlete,
Combining Faith & Sports

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  Friday, August 30

Note:  There are a limited number of spots on the league, so register soon!  Late registrations and walk-ups will be accepted if spots are still available.  However, the cost will increase to $80.

Registration includes:  Team T-shirt, Practice/Skills Training Time, Games Played on RCTC's Turf Field under the lights, and Team Awards

Scholarships are available upon request.
Sponsorships are also welcomed.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Football cleats or athletic shoes
  • Athletic wear (shorts, team t-shirt, etc.)
  • Water bottle

5:30 - 6:00 (gr 1-2)  Team Practice - Learning the Fundamentals

6:00 - 6:45 (gr 1-2)  Flag Football Games 

6:45 - 7:00 (gr 3-6)  Character Training Talk for All Grades

7:00 - 7:30 (gr 3-6)  Team Practice - Learning the Fundamentals

7:30 - 8:15 (gr 3-6)  Flag Football Games

Teams consist of 8-10 kids for each age grouping.
Grades 1-2 will be the "AFC" league
Grades 3-6 will be the "NFC" league

Coaches must attend one of the following training sessions:  Wednesday, Sept. 4 (6:00-7:00 pm) or Sunday, Sept. 8 (4:00-5:00 pm)

LEAGUE STAFF

League commissioner will be James Bolin, FCA Campus and Camps Ministry Associate for Southeast MN.  Bolin is also the Head Track and Field Coach at Shaeffer Academy.  Teams will be coached in practices and games by volunteer parents, football players and high school FCA leaders.

     

All registrations are being taken online and must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.  Payment can be made by credit card online or by sending in a check.
