One Body, Many Huddles: God Is Moving Across the East Metro

Anna Shoberg • November 3, 2026

What started as a vision to bring FCA Huddles together has grown into a movement of students united in their faith, encouraging one another, and sharing the love of Jesus throughout schools across the East Metro.

For the last few years, God has placed a vision on the hearts of our East Metro FCA team - to see FCA Huddles spend more time together, building relationships, growing in their faith, and encouraging one another as they live for Christ in their schools.

Students today face immense challenges in their academic, athletic, and personal lives. We see it, we hear about it, and we know how difficult it can be for young people to stand firm in their faith amid the pressures of the world around them. That is why we are so passionate about seeing FCA Huddles established and thriving in schools. We know the transformational power of God and the life-changing gift of the Gospel message.

Over the years, we've witnessed God moving in the lives of students attending their local FCA Huddles. We've seen students grow in their relationships with Jesus, develop meaningful friendships, and gain confidence to live out their faith among their peers.

But God was calling us to something more.

Through prayer and intentional planning, our team recognized an opportunity to bring students together beyond the walls of their individual schools. We wanted students to understand something important: Not only are they individually not alone in their faith, but their FCA Huddle is not alone either.

There were students just like them in neighboring schools and communities who were pursuing Jesus, facing similar challenges, and seeking to make a difference for Christ.

Two years ago, that vision became a reality when we hosted our first worship night bringing multiple FCA Huddles together. And that night planted a seed that would change everything.

What began as an opportunity to gather in worship has grown into something far greater than we imagined. Students began to recognize that their personal faith and passion for Jesus weren't confined to their own school's hallways. That same passion was alive in students across the East Metro, and as those connections grew, so did their excitement for what God was doing!

One Body, United in Christ

"...in the same way we who are many are one body in Christ and individually members of one another." — Romans 12:5

Over the past two years, we've watched students embrace this truth in remarkable ways. What started with one gathering has grown into a community of young believers who look forward to seeing one another at FCA events, whether that's bonfires, camps, worship nights, or other opportunities for fellowship.

But perhaps the most encouraging part has been watching students take ownership of that vision themselves. They are stepping up as leaders, creating opportunities to bring their peers together, and finding new ways to share Jesus with their communities.

Students have begun organizing their own inter-Huddle hangouts, volunteer opportunities, worship nights, pep rallies, and prayer events. They're building friendships across schools, encouraging one another in their walks with Christ, and recognizing that they're part of something much bigger than themselves.

For our East Metro FCA team, watching students embrace and carry forward this vision has been an incredible answer to prayer. It is truly a vision come to life!

Every day, these students have opportunities to reflect Jesus through their words, actions, friendships, and the way they love and serve those around them. They are living witnesses of the Gospel in hallways, classrooms, athletic fields, and locker rooms.

And we recognize that this isn't always easy. Standing firm in faith takes courage, especially in a world where students can feel isolated in their beliefs. But something powerful happens when they realize they aren't standing alone. There are hundreds and hundreds of other students across schools and communities throughout the East Metro who share their love for Jesus and their desire to make Him known.

What once may have felt like a single spark of faith is becoming a wildfire of students boldly living for Christ!

That is the beauty of the body of Christ. Though we are many, we are united in Him, encouraging and strengthening one another as we carry out the work He has called us to do.

We invite you to pray alongside us for the FCA Huddles throughout the East Metro.

  • Pray that these students would continue growing in their relationships with Jesus, have courage to share their faith, and strengthen the connections being built across schools and communities.
  • Pray for the student leaders stepping forward to serve and disciple their peers, and that more students would come to know the transforming love of Jesus Christ through the witness of their classmates and teammates.

We are incredibly grateful for what God has already done and look forward with anticipation to all He will continue to do through these students.

What a joy it is to serve the Lord together and witness a generation of young people rising up to make Him known!

THANKS BE TO GOD!
